Eggshell paint is awful, total waste of time and money

Decided to treat myself to a 'luxury' brand to repaint some shelving units. Chose Brooklands green eggshell. Delivery ok, although tin arrived dented, it's still useable. Lovely green colour. The paint though is a nightmare. Doesn't stick whatever you do, however much you sand, prime, stir paint, carefully apply etc. It just chips and peels off pretty much immediately. I've got plenty of experience painting woodwork and this is the biggest disappointment in terms of cost to result. A huge waste of my time and money.
